Meets frequently to analyze, discuss and evaluate security issues concerning the Ocean Club. 

The Committee consults with the Board and Management to provide ideas and improvements for making Ocean Club a better and safer place to live. All final decisions are made by the Board. Issues residents have involving Security should contact Management and file reports as necessary. Each Committee member takes their role seriously. After receiving approval from the Board to launch any new or updated policy, the Committee continues to monitor and evaluate the changes.  Committee members will always try our best because of their own  vested interest in Ocean Club’s property values and safety concerns. 

Summary of the Security Committee’s accomplishments:

1. On May 26, 2023, a private space for use by Atlantic City Police Officers was opened within the Ocean Club Condominium complex. While it is not an “official” ACPD Sub-Station, it establishes a presence here and on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. This space is unique to Ocean Club with regard to its existence. No other high-rise building has anything like it. The space was constructed as a safe place where police officers can house their bicycles for Boardwalk patrol, take personal breaks in a private setting, utilize the Ocean Club Lobby bathrooms, get out of the sun, etc. The concept behind this space was to have ACPD officers on our property (free of charge) and directly increase the amount of police presence in and around our complex. This police break station has definitely benefited our Community, our quality of life, and our property values. Donations of snacks only are always accepted. 
2. Increased the number of Physically Disabled Parking Spots in the Ocean Club’s garage on all levels.
3. Monitors illegally parked or “dangerous condition” vehicles and reports them to Management.
4. Installed new locks on the P-1 and P-3 personal storage areas and new Motion Sensors in some areas of the Garage.
5. Changed the Loading Dock access by implementing new entry procedures.
6. New road Delineators and Signage for pedestrians, baby carriages and physically disabled persons have been placed on each side of the crosswalks in the Porte Cocchere directly in front of the Front Desk area. These crosswalk areas are now kept free and clear of unnecessary parked vehicles.
7. Ten Speed Bumps were installed for the P-1, P-2 and P-3 Levels of the Garage. This has dramatically helped alleviate reckless driving as residents have reported. 
8. Three “No Parking” signs on Chelsea Avenue were installed.  The Curb from Chelsea and Pacific Ave to the Loading Dock Bay Doors were painted yellow with cross hatching lines to discourage drivers from parking there and playing loud music in their vehicles.
9. Installed a Nighttime Fob Reader by the Entrance Doors to the Front Desk area. Those doors now remain locked from 10:00 PM to 07:00 AM. Residents must use their Key Fob to gain entrance to the Front Desk area during those times.
10. Future plans are in place to rent all new security camera devices. They will replace the ones that Ocean Club currently owns and for which many will become obsolete. These new cameras will be directly interfaced with the Atlantic City Police Department and serviced through a contract with a monitoring company. 
11. We engage having a uniformed representative from ACPD at Open Board meetings. Every resident of the Community must exercise their own responsibility if they witness something that they feel requires action taken to be taken. In such situations, they should immediately call  and report the incident to: 609-347-5780. This connects with the Atlantic City Police Department Patrol Desk. An officer will be dispatched as is deemed necessary.
